Arts Sunday to return to St Peter Port in Summer 2012

The Guernsey Arts Commission is set for another busy year in 2012 and one of the highlights will be the second Arts Sunday on St Peter Port Seafront on Sunday 17th June.

In 2011 Arts Sunday showcased a range of arts from performance and music to painting and poetry and this year we want to make it even bigger.
To do that we are offering local artists and arts organisations a chance to have a table in the Arts Market to let people know what they do and where they do it, or sell their work.

We are also looking for anyone interested running a workshop on the day, in any artistic discipline, or performing on one of three stages highlighting the breadth of performing arts taking place on the island.

Arts Sunday is once again being organised by the Guernsey Arts Commission’s Music and Performing Arts Sub-Committees. Hannah Beacom, who chairs the Performing Arts Sub-Committee, says: “We are keen to build on the success of last year’s Arts Sunday. We would like to hear from any organisation or company working within the Arts. We are keen to showcase the best Guernsey has to offer.

“There will be performance spaces, workshop areas and an Arts Market, this will give organisations the chance to showcase their skills, promote themselves or sell arts related products.”

If you want a place in the Arts Market, or if you are interested in performing or running a workshop, please contact Russ Fossey, Chair of the Music Sub-Committee on [email protected]
