Tickets for the Vale Earth Fair will be on sale at our merchandise stall.

Thirst Music School

Join Thirst Music School on Arts Sunday at the top of the Crown Pier for performances by many of their students. As well as free taster lessons at 12pm and 2pm and the chance to meet their friendly teachers.

School of Popular Music

This year the team will be offering ‘Taster sessions’ for all ages. They will be joined by SOPM Mini’s again (under 10), where children can try guitar, drums or keyboard. A full size area for all ages offering the same instruments will also be available this year. Existing students will be performing throughout the day to show you what can be achieved at SOPM

Nicole Wyatt School of Music

Join Nicole Wyatt and some of her students performing live on the seafront. Nicole teaches Violin, Voice and Theory lessons for all levels and ages. More information about how to get involved with lessons will be available from the Nicole Wyatt School of Music pitch.

Guernsey biggest Arts Market

The Arts Market already have 70+ stalls and is ever growing. Expect to see dance schools, arts and crafts, paintings, textiles, illustrations, jewellery, face painting, photography, home fabrics, ceramics, graphic designers, handmade home items, original artwork, the Sarnia Woodturning Group, the Poetry and Literary area and much more.

Guernsey Arts Commission

The Guernsey Arts Commission will be hosting a workshop area for adults where they can relax while making some creative artwork. There will also be a family area, which will be open to all ages and provide a variety of arts activities. The main workshop will involve the public creating artwork on miniature canvases for the next exhibition at the greenhouse gallery at Guernsey Museum, which opens on Thursday 2nd July.

Live Comedy

Guernsey’s wildly popular Improv Comedy group make up scenes, stories and musicals based on suggestions from the audience. Described as ‘hilarious’ ‘laugh a moment’ and ‘wacky’, you have to see it to believe it. Catch them on the drama stage from 12:30pm. Following on from the Improbables, see the upcoming world premiere of HOGISM (History of Guernsey in Sixty Minutes). Taking a leaf out of ‘Horrible Histories’ popular treatment of history and combining it with the engaging fun nature of physical theatre makes for an entertaining and perhaps enlightening theatrical experience – 13:15 onwards on the drama stage.

Workshops:

Join Iris and Dora and get creative with screen-printing, be inspired and print your own design onto a tee shirt. Skipton Art Festival will also be asking the public to contribute to drawing on bunting that will be put up during the festival in August. The Makerspace pitch will be demonstrating various projects including 3D printing, and giving people the chance to learn more about how the Makerspace plans can benefit everyone. Ryan De Haff is doing 5 minute portraits. Lovelypop Creations are running a ‘Design a Father’s Day Mug’ competition throughout the day. Pop along to the stall to do some designing and colouring then 5 winning designs will be made up for Father’s Day!
