Arts Sunday – 8th June 2014

It’s almost here!

Some tremendous musical acts are lined up for the day, not to mention the amazing dance and theatre groups performing. There will be a constant flow of entertainment all day to suit everyone’s needs. Rob Sweeney is offering everyone a chance to be part of painting the Guernsey skyline across 6 large canvases, as well as everyone being able to get creative with chalk, using the car park spaces as your canvas!

The Arts Market is ever growing but expect to see dance schools, arts and crafts, paintings, textiles, greeting cards, illustrations, jewellery, face painting, photography, decorate your own cake, ornaments, FunFit trampolines, home fabrics, ceramics, designers, handmade home items, clothing, original artwork, a pottery wheel, the Sarnia Woodturning Group and the list goes on!

Guernsey Arts Commission

The Guernsey Arts Commission marquee will be a central point for all stall holders, acts and visitors for any help needed with the day. They will also be offering workshops to anyone wanting to apply for an Arts Grant. The GAC team will be there to offer help with the forms, explain the guidelines and discuss the process of applying. The community arts team will be offering fun activities for all ages. They’ll be a 32ft ‘Living on an Island’ themed blackboard for everyone to get involved with, as well as having a chance to submit pieces for the EXPRESS YOURSELF initiative. www.arts.gg   www.facebook.com/ArtSundayGuernsey
