Elizabeth College are inviting applications from artists, craft workers and designers for this year’s artist residency which will take place during September and October 2014.
The successful applicant will have the use of a large studio and a solo exhibition at the Gate House Gallery. The residency comes with a grant to fund materials and other expenses. Other funding is available which is linked to participation in their extra-curricular programme. For artists based off island, accommodation will also be offered for the duration of the placement.
The residency would suit an arts graduate looking to develop a new body of work within an educational context. The college is open to artists working in any discipline including painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, graphics, film, photography, installation etc. Facilities include a ceramics studio, block printing press and an Apple Mac IT hub.
If you are interested in applying for the residency which would be for between two and six weeks, please send a CV and covering letter to Adam Stephens by Thursday 1st May.
