Art On The Beach returns to Vazon

After the success of the first Art On The Beach event in 2010 the Guernsey Arts Commission will be holding another this summer on the afternoon of Sunday 19th June with support from NatWest.

Teams made up of families, friends, work colleagues or any other combinations of between 3 and 8 people are invited to enter and see what they can make from the materials found on Vazon Bay.

Last year there was everything from stone mosaics to giant sand lobsters and this year we hope to see even more creative expressions based on the beach.

Although Art on the Beach will be a fun afternoon for all the family a prize will be awarded for the best piece of art as judged by Eric Snell and other local artists.

To register your team beforehand just email [email protected] with your name, a  team name, approximately how many people will be taking part and a contact number, or just turn up on the day and bring your bucket and spade, and whatever tools you think you might need – and, of course, sunscreen and suitable clothing!

Entry is free!
