Once again the charity Guernsey Arts Commission (GAC), generously supported by NatWest for the sixth year, will be invading Vazon Beach (near Vistas Café) on Sunday 31st July from 11am – 3pm for ‘Art on The Beach’.
This exciting free day will consist of interactive arts activities, with local artists, alongside hosting a sand castle competition!
We are encouraging people of all ages to form their sandcastle teams, get their creative ideas flowing and create their masterpieces! GAC will be on hand to assist the teams. There will be a limited amount of tools available, so the GAC are asking that teams consider bringing any specific tools they require. Building will be permitted to begin from 11am-2.30pm and judge’s decisions will be announced at 3pm, where prizes will be given to the winning teams.
We invite everyone to come along, bring your imagination, your lunch and your sunscreen!
The fantastic support of the NatWest team is vital to such events and Rob Girard, Island Director, notes: “We are delighted to continue our support of this event for a sixth year. “Art on the Beach” brings together a real cross section of the Guernsey community getting involved in creative activity. We are very much looking forward to the event and hope everyone enjoys the day and opportunity to express their creative talent.”
Lottie Barnes, Community Arts Development Manager, said, “This is one of my favourite events of the year. I am really looking forward to seeing all the sandcastles created. GAC are so grateful for the support from NatWest again.”
