Art On The Beach
Once again Guernsey Arts Commission’s Community Arts Team, generously supported by NatWest for the third year, will be invading Vazon Beach on the 7th July 2013 from 11am – 4pm for Art On The Beach.
This year we shall be creating an underwater installation and we invite everyone to come along, bring your imagination, your lunch and your sunscreen!
We will be having a number of artists working across Vazon Beach in pods, each pod will open to the public and you will be able to help create both fun and educational additions to this giant exhibition. You will need to get there before the tide comes in and washes everything away.
The team will have both photographers and film makers there on the day and we will produce a time lapse film which will cover the whole day and the whole process. We will upload the film as soon after the event as we can and all the photographs will go on our website and social media sites on the day.
The fantastic support of the NatWest team is vital to such events and Rob Girard, Island Director, notes: “The Guernsey Arts On The Beach events provide a fantastic opportunity for the whole community to come down to discover and explore their artistic talents on the beach. Art is for everybody, and getting involved in creating and enjoying art on a glorious Guernsey beach with stunning views all around has got to inspire everybody. We are delighted to continue our support for the Guernsey Arts Commission for the third year as part of our sustained commitment to community investment in the Island”.
Lotte Barnes, Community Arts Development Manager, said, “I am very excited about this interactive Arts event on the beach and delighted that we have the support of NatWest again.”
