Adam’s Literary Festival blog – 2: Competition

As brevity is traditionally the soul of wit, twitter could nowadays be the essence of literature. Inspired by the social networking site, we’re seeking concisely written prose and poetry for a competition that will be judged during the festival.

If you can wax lyrical in 100 characters or less then send your entries to our twitter account (@GuernseyLitFest) or drop them into the greenhouse in the Guernsey Information Centre. Apart from the need to keep it brief there are no limitations on what or how you write, though we’ll be looking for profundity, not obscenity.

We’ll be choosing two winners, one aged 12 or under and one aged 13 or over.  Those winners, along with honourable mentions, will be announced on Monday 16th May. Please get your entries in by 12pm Sunday at the latest.
