Making Music, the organisation for voluntary music, is holding a FREE information event in St Peter Port on Sunday 14 September 2014, and we would like to invite you to join us. The event is a forum for amateur musicians from across Guernsey to come together, talk about and ask questions about the things that concern them most in the running of their groups. Making Music is here to help with any issues or questions that they might have – be it about marketing, social media, writing funding applications, persuading people to join the committee and many other issues. Although your organisation is not an amateur music group, we know that you may often work with them and you may find it useful to use the event as an opportunity to find out more about them and talk with them about your activities.
The day will run from 12pm to 4.45pm at the Roseville Community Centre, and will be broken down into 3 sessions of about an hour each, during which we will focus on one particular topic, to be chosen by those in attendance at the time. There will be opportunities for chatting over tea and coffee in between sessions. The format of the event has been designed to be flexible, so that those who already have commitments can arrive later or leave earlier if they need to, but we hope that many people will be able to stay for as long as possible or even for the whole event.
