Public Events

The community arts team work closely with GAC’s sub-committees and other agencies to put on a range of events throughout the year, aimed at both residents and visitors.

Guernsey Arts Commission’s Lantern Parade

Throughout the dark winter months, children and young people had the chance to make a lantern leading up to the island’s Lantern Parade in March 2017. Lantern making workshops will ran through February where families or individuals made a lantern.

Arts Sunday

The seafront in St Peter Port comes alive on Arts Sunday, always taking place on the first weekend in June, with music, dance, film and arts activities for all ages.

Now in its seventh year, artists and arts organisations from across the Bailiwick are invited to showcase their work and encourage people to take part.  In 2017 more than 12,000 people attended! We are looking forward to next year, if you want to sign up please contact us at info@arts.gg.

Art on the Beach

This event invites residents and visitors to join a fun and interactive day of arts on the beach at Vazon. The sandcastle and sand sculpture competition always proves to be very popular! Keep an eye out on our Facebook page and website to see when the next one is scheduled.
