The Guernsey Arts Commission is very happy to sponsor ‘Proms on the Pier’, which celebrates its 12th anniversary in 2017 and to mark this landmark the music and entertainment has been extended to two days. It is all completely FREE!
The iconic and legendary music from Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald alongside Mark Ronson, Pharrell Williams and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man will be the central theme of the “Let’s Swing The Proms” Big Band who will perform at this year’s Proms on the Pier on Saturday 9 September on Albert Pier, St Peter Port, Guernsey.
The programme will start with a special screening ofAlice Through the Looking Glass on the big screen. The Proms tradition will continue with a showcase of Guernsey’s fabulously talented local musicians and singers – Let’s Swing the Proms – followed by live coverage of the second half of the BBC coverage of the Last Night of the Proms from the Albert Hall on the big screen.

On Sunday 10 September, the music will change gear with a number of local bands and musicians providing live music from midday to 6pm. The full line up of bands will be announced shortly.
