In the greenhouse:
Forwards, backwards and forwards again
curated by Tim Bowditch
La Vallette Bathing Pools as you’ve never seen them before!
The GAC has teamed up with Guernsey creative Tim to
create this contemporary show which opens to the public on Friday 6th April.
The project which has been 3 years in the making, includes
artists David Perry, Theo Niderost and Sybella Perry, presents the work they made whilst on the island last
summer : including video and photography and kinetic sculpture alongside Tim's short film Firedive which he shot in 2010. As part of the film he filmed a torch-lit procession around the bathing pools evoking the era when the pools were used for extravagant swimming galas.
The Exhibition opens on Friday 6th April 2012 with an artist led walk through at 11am and runs until Sunday 17th June 2012.

Dictating the Style
Our exhibition promised and delivered something different to
the greenhouse as we took a look through the theatre
designs of Guernsey resident Reverend Maurice Strike.
Dictating the Style opened in February and ran until the end of March with over 700 visitors coming to see original designs made across more than 25 years in the theatre.
Maurice and his exhibition featured in the Press, various
magazines on radio and also featured in an interview with
Channel Report.

Arts Sunday Returns!
On Sunday 17th June 2012 we will once again be taking over the seafront in St Peter Port to show just how much the arts have to offer in Guernsey.
If you are an artist, or a member of an arts
organisation and would like to get involved either by having a table in the Arts Market or by
performing or running a workshop we’d love to hear from you.
Please email Russ Fossey on russ@arts.gg or visit www.arts.gg to find out more and help us show how the arts are such a big part of island life.
