In the greenhouse:
Ten of the best
The new exhibition in the greenhouse, 10 of the Best, is now open!
The exhibition features 10 students' works from the final year shows of Guernsey's schools and spans artistic
mediums from paintings to videos.
The 10 students' works were chosen by Justiene Boughey, who is a graduate in Art and Visual Culture from Bristol UWE, with an aim of giving some of
Guernsey's budding young artists a chance to be involved with an exhibition outside of the school environment for the first time.

Commissioner sought for Community Arts
As the Guernsey Arts Commission continues to expand its Community Arts Programme we are in the
process of setting up a sub-committee dedicated to Community Arts.
We are currently seeking a new commissioner to lead the Sub-Committee and sit on the Guernsey Arts Commission board to help develop our existing programme.
The new commissioner will provide a vital link between the Community Arts Officer, who runs the day-to-day side of the programme, and the Guernsey Arts Commission's Board of Commissioners, as well as
working with the Community Arts Officer to help bring the programme to fruition.
If you want to find out more about the voluntary role please head to the blog on arts.gg or contact Joanna Littlejohns on joanna@arts.gg for more information.

Thank you to everyone involved in Arts Sunday
The first ever Arts Sunday took place in St Peter Port on 14th of August. With performances
spanning live rock and jazz bands, poetry and a choir the day gave a taste of just how much goes on in the arts in Guernsey.
We would like to thank everyone who was involved, from performers and workshop leaders to people who took stalls in the Arts Market and LH Events for providing and running all the technical equipment.
We hope to run a similar event again next year and represent even more of the arts so if you have any feedback please get in touch on tom@arts.gg
