Art On The Beach is back - Sunday 19th June
After the success of the first Art On The Beach last year the GAC will be
holding another this summer at Vazon on June 19th, with support from NatWest.
Teams of between 3 and 8 people are invited to enter and see what they can
make from the materials found on Vazon Bay.
Last year there was everything from stone mosaics to giant sand lobsters and
this year we hope to see even more creative expressions based on the beach.
To register your team beforehand just email info@arts.gg with your name,
a team name, approximately how many people will be taking part and a
contact number.

We've Got It Covered
Even though the Guernsey Literary Festival is over, We've
Got It Covered continues in the greenhouse and
continues to be one of the most popular shows exhibited there with more than 2,000 people having already visited.
The exhibition continues the Design Matters series as it
explores the designs of the dust jacket for The Guernsey
Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.
Artwork and copies of the book from around the world are
on display alongside entries to a competition challenging local students to design their own version of the dust jacket.

More than 6,500 attend the first Guernsey Literary Festival!
After months of preparation the first Guernsey Literary Festival
took place in May and saw more than 6,500 people take part in
various events around the island.
Local writers had the chance to learn from visiting authors
and poets who in turn saw just how much Guernsey has to offer
the Literary World.
While the organisers take stock of this year's event you can
still read highlights in Adam Clayton's Literary Festival
