The Town Centre Partnership in association with the Guernsey Symphonic Winds and Strings is proud to present ‘La Notte Italiana Al Castello ‘ – ‘An Italian Night At The Castle’.
This major event takes place in the magnificent surroundings of Castle Cornet on Saturday 2nd September at 7.30pm. Conducted by Alan Gough and featuring special guest Baritone Soloist Szymon Wach, the evening will feature Operatic Masterpieces and Neopolitan Arias in this remarkable outdoor setting.

Szymon Wach is emerging as a young artists of increasing prestige and reputation. In his career he has already appeared in such venues as San Francisco War Memorial Opera House, Royal Opera House, Barbican Hall, Glyndebourne, Ebert Room, Eastbourne’s Mead Music Festival , the Bath International Music Festival, the Wroclaw Opera and Riga’s Latvian National Opera. An alumnus of some of the worlds finest training programmes, Mr Wach’s credits include San Francisco Opera’s Merola Opera Program, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s Opera course and Glyndebourne’s Jerwood Young Artists Programme.
Alan Gough needs no introduction as the conductor of the very successful Guernsey Symphonic Winds who have been entertaining Guernsey audiences for many years. For this performance they are augmented with a string section to enrich the sounds.
Town Centre Partnership is renowned for arranging outdoor entertainment in St Peter Port and with the help of the Guernsey Arts Commission, the staff of Castle Cornet and the enthusiasm and commitment of 60 local musicians this event has been made possible.
For this performance it is standing only and there will be a Bar available for refreshments so come along and enjoy the wonderful music and spectacular views in this very special venue.
