One long and sunny autumn weekend, one lovely island, a happy crowded harbour town, 41 authors including 16 locals, 14 poets and 2 Poets Laureate, 40 performers, 13 novelists, 10 publishing, media and digital writing experts, 50 volunteers, hundreds of stories told, thousands of tickets sold, and the Guernsey Literary Festival 2012 ended with two young boys winning the Poetry Slam final.
