THE HOME BEAUTIFUL: PRE-RAPHAELITE INTERIORS
Lecturer: Joanna Banham

For Dante Gabriel Rossetti, William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones, a beautiful home was “the most important production of art”. This lecture explores the decoration and lifestyles associated with famous Pre-Raphaelite houses.

From 2006-2016 Jo Banham was Head of Adult Learning at the V&A. She has also been Curator of Leighton House and Assistant Keeper at the Whitworth Art Gallery. She has published on many aspects of Victorian and early 20th century decoration and interiors.

The Arts Society Guernsey holds its lectures at Les Cotils, St Peter Port. Doors open at 6pm and the lecture is from 7pm to 8pm.

Entrance is free to members; non-members will be admitted upon payment of £15 at the door, if space permits.
