Our investment in the arts and culture in the Bailiwick
Guernsey Arts Commission (GAC) is the body for distributing government funding that has been allocated to arts and culture by the States of Guernsey. The Culture & Leisure and Commerce & Employment departments allocate funding to the GAC annually which in turn is awarded to successful applicants via the GAC Arts Grants scheme.
The activity must take place mainly in the Bailiwick of Guernsey; that is Guernsey, Alderney, Sark, Herm and the surrounding islands. However, grants can be awarded for international and national projects at the discretion of the Arts Grant Sub-Committee.
Applications can be made for:
- Grants for a project or activity
- Underwrites to guarantee the financial security of a project or activity
- Sponsorship match to encourage investment by sponsors or other States departments.
